TAYO Naman! Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Service for DepEd Personnel

In order to provide proactive Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) to its workers and stakeholders, the Department of Education (DepEd) introduced TAYO Naman! Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Service for DepEd Personnel every Friday, beginning in May 2023.

The DepEd understands the need of providing teachers and staff with adequate mental health assistance. This time, the department hopes to contact more teachers who are working on the front lines of education and let them know that DepEd is available to help them in their difficult circumstances.

TAYO Naman! is a continuation to DepEd’s Wellness Check Series project, which aims to promote conversations on healthy coping strategies for dealing with stress and other mental health difficulties.

This initiative seeks to enhance the wellbeing of all DepEd employees and create a workforce that is robust enough to resist current and upcoming crises. It also provides staff with tools to safeguard their mental health in the face of the COVID-19 epidemic.

This will go further into enhancing self-awareness to flourish and achieve in the new normal and learning the psychology of emotions as it revolves on understanding one’s well-being.
