With the new service feature of the Social Security System, members can now apply for SSS salary loan online via My SSS portal at the SSS website. It is way better than the old method of submitting salary loan application manually in SSS offices. When you apply for SSS salary loan online and you have it successfully submitted, it will be routed to your employer’s SSS account for certification purposes.

2 .You must be registered for an online SSS member account at the My SSS portal at the SSS website. That means you have your Username and Password. If you are not yet registered in SSS portal, please read this:
3 .Your employer is registered for an online SSS employer account at My SSS portal at the SSS website.
4 .Regarding your SSS membership status:
A. All currently employed, currently contributing self-employed or voluntary member.
- For a one-month loan, the member-borrower must have thirty six (36) posted monthly contributions, six (6) of which should be within the last twelve (12) months prior to the month of filing of application.
- For a two-month loan, the member-borrower must have seventy two (72) posted monthly contributions, six (6) of which should be within the last twelve (12) months prior to the month of filing of application.
B. The member-borrower whose employer must be updated in the payment of contributions.
C. The member-borrower has not been granted final benefit, i.e., total permanent disability, retirement and death
D. The member-borrower must be under sixty-five (65) years of age at the time of application
E. The member-borrower has not been disqualified due to fraud committed against the SSS.
F. The member-borrower must have either SSS digitized ID or E-6 (acknowledgement stub)
G. The member-borrower must have any two valid IDs.

How to Apply for SSS Salary Loan?
1 .Go to the Social Security Service (SSS) branch nearest your residence, place of business or work.

2 .Ask the information officer that you want to apply for SSS salary loan.
3 . You will be provided with an SSS Member Loan Application Form. Fill it out completely.
4 .Submit all your documents and make sure all your details is correct and accurate for faster approval.

- Processing of SSS salary loan applications usually takes around 2-3 weeks from the date of application.
- If you are employed, your loan checks will be delivered directly to your employer and if you are self-employed or a voluntary member, you will be given a schedule when your loan check is ready for pick-up.

- You must send him/her your duly accomplished Member Loan Application Form
- Authorized Company Representative (ACR) card issued by SSS
- You must send him/her a Letter of Authority (LOA) from employer and any two (2) valid IDs both with signature and at least one with photo
- You must send him/her your Member-borrower’s SSS card or in its absence, Application for SSS card (SSS Form E-6) acknowledgment stub and any two valid Ids both with signature and at least one with photo.
